Big TW : suicide for three of these characters !

Cat (she/they)

Cat is the codename of Tae Yeong-Min, a 21 year old woman who was born in Korea, as part of a program by multiple governments, that intended to create superhumans to fight back against an imminent alien invasion. Being a rebelious kid, Cat did not like being raised at the Institute. She did develop superhuman abilities, as her nails grew into long, black, sharp claws. When she was a teen, Cat, her twin brother Sky, and her best friend AJ, decided to run away from the Institute. Unfortunately, that plan did not go well, and in an explosion, Cat lost her leg, and while she was unconcious, her brother was left behind. Cat and AJ fought about who was responsible for Sky's death, and that dispute caused AJ to go back to the institute, while Cat was free. Cat vowed to destroy the Institute. She found someone with that same desire, named Rowan, and together they fought against the Institute, freed kids, and prevented more kids to be recruted. This worked well until her partner announced her he had to go on a mission alone, leaving her behind for an indefined amount of time. One year later, Cat gets a secret message from her partner.

AJ (she/her)

AJ, full name "Aoki Ajisai", is a 23 year old woman, born in Japan and enroled in the Institute. At first, she did not seem to have any kind of supernatural abilities, so she trained harder than her classmates to be the best. Her constant need to be the best was eating her from the inside. She constantly felt inferior, especially in comparison to her only two friends, the brave Cat, and the clever Sky. However, upon seeing how much both of them hated being there, she accepted to run away with them. While fleeing, an explosion blew off Cat's leg, and separated them from Sky. With Cat unconsious, she could either save Cat or Sky, and she chose to save Cat. Once Cat was healed, she blamed her for her brother's death. In a fight, Cat slashed AJ across the face with her claws. In that moment, AJ's blood sprayed onto Cat's face. But it wasn't red as it had always been, but green, and it burned Cat's skin, leaving her a permanent scar. Horrified, AJ thought it better to return to the Insitute and to leave Cat. There, Once 18, AJ and her new friend, Sun, started working on a weapon based on her blood, a very painful process for AJ. She pitched this idea to a partner of the Institute, B.A.T., who immediately hired her.

Sky (he/him)

Sky, also known as Tae Ha-neul, is Cat's twin brother. He was born in Korea, and enroled in the Insitute. He was the smartest kid there, which made up for his lack of superpower. Despite excelling in the intellectual part of their agent training, he had no interest in fighting, the idea of becoming a soldier disgusted him. His mission partner at the Insititute was V, a girl known for being the only person to ever escape the Institute. The first five times she was brought back, and after the sixth, everyone assumed she was either free or dead. V taught Sky everything she knew about escaping, and after she diseappeared, Sky decided to follow in V's footsteps. Alongside his sister and their friend AJ, they almost made it out. Until an explosion separated them. Sky told AJ she had to save his sister, and she did. As they left, he fell down into the water. His new found super ability allowed him to freeze the ice, alongside his body, and to put all of his vital fonctions on hold, keeping him alive but unconcious. Five years later, he was broken out of the ice by a stranger called Rowan. Sky suffers from memory loss, he is more quiet, and his body sometimes freezes.

Rowan (he/they/she)

Rowan is a 24 year old person, born Romulus "Rome" Blackrose, to a prestigious british family, under a lot of pressure. His sibling, Lexie, was sent to study enineering in America, his sister July, to study litterature in Oxford, and Rowan had to go to an elite boarding school for athleles, on an island. There, he encountered a girl named V who claimed she had ran away from a government facility called "The Institute", that created super child soldiers. He helped her leaving the island, taking her to his home. However, a government agent showed up at their door, and she was arrested. Rowan was sent back to the boarding school, and he decided he had to take down the Institute. He found another kid who had escaped the Institute to help him, Cat. After years of fighting the Institute, Rowan heard that his sibling, Lexie, was involved with the Institute. He decided to handle this family on his own, and followed Lexie for a year, until he found them underneath the Institute, studying a boy who was stuck in ice. The whole site was garded by robots, armed with green acid. After fighting his sibling to free the boy, Rowan decided to contact Cat, to tackle this new threat.

Lexie (they/she/he)

Lexie is Rowan's sibling, born Alexander Blackrose. They're 22 and were born in England, but they were sent to live with their grandmother in America very early. They started studying coding, and got many PHDs. They were very lonely, they didn't have many friends, and their grandmother was often travelling. Until one day, something crashed in a field near them. It was an alien robot called B.A.T, in a space ship. They befriended it, together they used alien technology alongside coding to create a robot, called W31. The initial idea was to make a robot just like Bat, that would act as a bodyguard. However, as the project advanced, Bat started pushing for more violent additions, such as an arm that doubles as a gun. They decided to send the robot to Lexie's uncle, King of Mordomia, to test it. The day before sending W31, Bat added AJ's acid blood to W31. Lexie realised that if they sent the robot in that state, it'll be commercialised as a weapon, so they tried to break it by tearing out its eye. Bat repaired it by giving it one of its eyes, and sending it either way. Lexie decided to go do research, and they started studying a strange case of a boy stuck in ice, that their father told them about. They went with W31 copies. However, they were interrupted by their brother, and Rowan took Sky.

Bat (he/it)

Bat, whose name is the reverse of their factory name "Terestrial Analysis Robot", is a robot created by aliens from the Andromeda galaxy. Its planet of origin is a species of alien with no notion of morals, whose only goal is to expand by colonizing other planets. Bat's purpose is to analyse earth and report back on wether it's suitable for colonization. However, once on earth, Bat experiences fondness for the human who found them, Lexie, and is ready to abandon its mission. They start building a robot together, called W31, to be a bodyguard for humanity. However, after a few years on Earth, Bat feels something changing in its code, reverting back to its initial mission. It starts its mission, making sure Earth won't be able to fight back, and it starts getting closer to governments, such as the King of Mordomia, to take controle of Earth's defenses. It hires AJ, to use her acid blood in W31 robots, and then offer said robots to the king of Mordomia, as help to take controle of the Institute, which is suposed to be for the entire world. This change causes some discord between it and its partner, Lexie.

Mickie (she/it)

Mickie, who goes by "Michelle Way", on earth, is a T.A robot, just like Bat. She arrived on Earth at the same time as Bat, but in a different part of the world. She started her mission in Japan, working as a fashion model, making her way up the spheres of the human world, to learn more about it. She hasn't stopped working on her mission to collect information, until some day she meets Bat, who was in Japan to hire someone to make weapons for it. Mickie learns that Bat has gone past its code, and is now working on destroying Earth's defense, rather than simply collecting information. Mickie decides to join it. Unlike Bat, Mickie is still fully following her own code, and does not have a consciousness. Therefore, she acts without morals, with the goal of getting as much land as possible for Andromeda. She dislikes Lexie because of how Lexie makes Bat more human, and therefore less effective towards their mission.

Ange (they/it)

Ange is the third T.A robot that was sent on earth. However, on its way to earth, they were taken off their trajectory by space pirates, and after some struggle, they landed on Earth 10 years after the other robots. The three robots being reunited on one planet caused Bat's code, which had been corrupted by life on Earth, to reset and erase its wish to protect Earth. Ange unlike Bat and Mickie, has no wish to act, they only want to collect informations. However, they don't like their existence on Earth very much, as they are aware they cannot feel anything. Ange will start using her ability to collect informations to start working as a cynical private investigator. In their investigations, they'll meet a team of detectives composed of Clytemnestra Blackwell, Raven Lloyd, and sometimes Dragan of Mordomia. Despite not feeling emotions, their adventures with the detective group makes them less likely to want Earth to disapear, as they enjoy watching unexpected things happening more than a dead planet full of emotionless robots.

Ray (she/they)

Raven "Ray" Lloyd, is a 22 year old scottish girl. She had a lonely childhood, since most kids didn't like her because of her autism. She struggled a lot with making friends and she constantly felt left out, so she spent lots of times on the internet, the rest of the time being spent cutting class and doing stupid teenager activities. Her parents didn't know how to help, and thought she could handle it alone. When she was 16, she couldn't take that loneliness anymore, and she attempted suicide. However, she failed and ended up in a coma for many years. While in that coma, she imagined living in the exact same place, except it was empty, there was no one. There, she was alone, but not lonely, as there was no one to make her feel left out. She didn't want to leave that empty dimension, because she felt it was the only place she could truly enjoy her teenage years. But one day, an entity called Lavender travelled through dimensions to find her and bring her back to life. Ray doesn't remember her life before the coma very well. Her parents were very relieved to see her wake up, and they thought she should start doing more mental exercises to get her memories back. That's why, when she came across a detective called Clay Blackwell at the hospital, and they offered to hire her as their assistant, her parents encouraged her to say yes.

Clay (they/them)

Clay was born Clytemnestra Blackrose in England. They are the child of Constantine Blackrose, which means Lexie, Rowan, July, as well as Dragan and Suzan are their nieces and nephews. However, they are only 25 years old, because their parents had them a lot later than their other kids. Their siblings are Helen Blackrose (44 years old), Pollux Blackrose (39 years old), and Castor Blackrose (34 years old), they're a family with a big age gap. Clay's mother, Farrah was Egyptian, and she had a career as an archaeologist ready for her, until she met her husband, who was British and very controlling, and they moved to England together. They had four kids, and only after he died, she started travelling, having a house in America but frequentely travelling to Egypt. Clay was very inspired by their mother's work growing up, and wanted to become an archaeologist, but their interest shifted towards detective work. They are a succesful consultant detective, they take interest in helping people who aren't being listened to otherwise. Slowly, they build a team of people that could help them, such as Ray Lloyd who has experience with parallel dimensions, and Dragan of Mordom who can see ghosts.

Dragan (he/him)

Dragan of Mordom is the 19 years old crown prince of a kingdom called Mordom. He is the cousin of Rowan, Lexie, and July. He was raised in part by a robot called W31. Dragan and his twin sister Suzan saw W31 almost like a brother. His life was mostly uneventful. He never wanted to become king, and hoped his sister would be the one to take that role. Dragan was the more rebellious child, and never seemed to care about his responsabilities. That was until they turned 18. It was a tradition that if two people could inherit the throne, once 18, they had to duel for it. Dragan had never been any good at fencing, and he expected to just let his sister win. Their duel took place on a hill, away from the public, only watched by W31. During the duel, Suzan tripped and fell down to her death. W31 blamed Dragan for it, so did his parents, and he was kicked out and disowned. Dragan decided to do everything he could to get his sister back, and he made a deal with an entity to be able to talk to ghosts. However, this made him into a sort of demon, his skin has started rotting, his eyes turned red, and he has horns. Despite what he did, he cannot find his sister. He befriended a ghost he initially mistook for Suzan, his cousin July. He has joined a group of detective, using his power to help.

Suzan (she/her)

Suzan of Mordom, was the princess of Mordom. She was 18 when she died. She would be 19 if she hadn't. She always expected to become Queen, since she was always the more responsible and serious child. However, she learned that her family, and even W31, the robot who had raised her since birth were affiliated with B.A.T, a robot alien, with intent to make Earth into a factory to make more robots. That revelation made her want to have nothing to do with that family, and she didn't want to become Queen anymore. But she knew nobody would believe her, and she thought there was nothing she could do to stop that from happening. As mental illness runs in her family, this only furthered her desire to die. She decided that she should make her death appear like an accident, and she wrote a letter confessing that she would intentionally fall from the hill her and her brother were supposed to duel on, on their 18 birthday. Her letter was also an apology to Dragan, as he was the only person she still liked. However, since she hid that letter in Dragan's bedroom and he was kicked out, he never found the letter, believing he was responsible. Then, she volontarely fell during the fight, and Dragan was accused of killing her by W31 and his family.

July (she/her)

July would be 20 if she didn't die at 16. She was born in England, and studied at a prestigious university there, for litterature. She had the "perfect life", being a rich white conventionally attractive girl, with a boyfriend. She had decided to commit suicide, but as she was about to, she met someone. Their name was Sun, and they had just transferred to this school. They fell in love, she stopped dating her boyfriend, and she finally experienced freedom and happinness. That's when she was killed. Her death was staged as a suicide, using the letter she had written initially. She didn't see who killed her. Her soul lingered in the form of a ghost, as she doesn't know who killed her, and she feels she has unfinished business. She meets a boy who can see ghosts, Dragan, who is part of a team of detectives. Initially she wants them to investigate on her death, but then asks them to stop, as she enjoys their time together and she doesn't want to move on just yet. She then helps them investigating other unsolved mysteries.

Sun (they/them)

Sun is 2 years old, they were born Sunil Madhu, in India, and later sent to the Institute. There were rivalries between the USA and Mordomia, both countries thinking they should be able to use the Institute soldiers as their personal army, rather than as a way to defend Earth against an alien invasion. Therefore, the Institute wanted to keep tabs on the governments of both countries, and sent kids to spy on them. Sun was sent undercover, to befriend July Blackrose, niece of the King of Mordomia. The two became close, eventually falling in love. Sun felt guilty about spying on her, but took confort in knowing there was never anything important to report. When Sun learned that they had not been sent there only as a spy, but also with the goal of killing July if the need arose, they were devastated. They refused, and decided to come clean to July. Only, when they arrived at her house, they discovered she had commited suicide. Sun was heartbroken, and wondered if they had been responsible, and if July's death was truly a suicide. They returned to the Institute, their mission completed. There, they befriended AJ, as both had just suffered from the death of a loved one. Sun vowed to never let anyone kill themselves again. As an adult, they have better controle over their abilities. They met an immortal woman, living on an island, called Ela. The two of them met multiple times throughout time and space, Lavender time travelling and Ela always waiting for them. Lavender's goal is to find out where they are initially from, as they want a place to settle forever in. They eventually learned that the woman who took her from her parents is called V, and Lavender wants to change the timeline so that they live a normal life with their parent. However, doing that results in a paradox. TO fix it, Lavender goes back to tell Ela to infuse her magic into the Island, so the kids on the Island get their special abilities, allowing V to become a hitman, and to take Lavender from their family. Eventually, Lavender decides they don't have to settle where they were originally from, and instead build a portal between all dimensions where they can live, and fix any problems in the timelines, while still seeing their partner, Ela.

Being the last of her kind, Ela starts living amonst humans, choosing a human name depending on the language spoken where she lives at the time. Her main name is Elaphos, meaning deer. Throughout her life, she encounters and befriends a time traveler called Lavender, and they fall in love. They were sent to be tested by the king of Mordomia. They ended up living with the prince and princess, Dragan and Suzan, protecting them from danger, acting almost like a nanny or an older sibling. However, Suzan was killed in a duel with Dragan, and W31 was blamed for it. They sent back to Bat, who had since built a whole line of new W31 robots, better ones. Many robots arrived, and soon started declaring Neptune as a colony of an Andromeda galaxy's planet. Neptune transformed from being a joyful place full of travelers, to become a huge factory, as everyone was forced to either leave Neptune, or stay and work to create more Andromedian robots. V always hated the Institute and vowed to escape. Back at the Institute, she was very distant from the other kids. Her power is the ability to run faster than average. She asked for help of a resident of a boarding school on the Island, called Rowan. He helped her leave on his private jet. However, once they got to his family house, the Institute agents found her again. Then, they told her she could either go back to her training in the Institute to become a soldier, or she could start immediately working as a mercenary under the orders of an entity named B.A.T., who was looking to acquire super humans from the Institute, and V immediately jumped on the occasion to be free from the Institute.
